Of those payees, 7,000 are in the local CCCERA community totaling approximately $30 million. For the 2024 year the average processing time of a retirement application was 42.78 days measured from the member’s last paycheck from their employer to the date they received their first pension check. CCCERA enrolled over 1,000 members in 2024 of which 97% of those members were enrolled in a PEPRA tier. For members that retired in the last three years the average pension check is 39% of the member’s final salary amount at the time of their retirement. What’s in your pension dollar? The average over the last ten years shows 53% from investment earnings, 36% from employer contributions, and 11 employee contributions.
